Trump Celebrates Landmark Indonesia Trade Deal as Win for U.S. Exports

President Donald TRUMP hailed a newly struck trade agreement with Indonesia as a significant victory for American industries, emphasizing its potential to boost jobs and exports. The deal, described as an 'Agreement on Reciprocal Trade,' commits Indonesia to eliminating tariffs on over 99% of U.S. goods and dismantling non-tariff barriers for American companies. In return, the U.S. will reduce proposed tariffs on Indonesian imports from 32% to 19%.

Trump touted the agreement on Truth Social, calling it a 'huge win' for automakers, tech firms, farmers, and manufacturers. A WHITE House fact sheet outlined the framework, with negotiators set to finalize terms in coming weeks. The deal aligns with terms Trump previewed last week after discussions with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
